We would like to invite you and all Go players from your country to join us this spring in Amsterdam and participate in the Amsterdam Go Together (9-12 May 2013), an international event consisting of the following elements:
1. European Pair Go Championship 2013, 11-12 May 2013
Mixed-sex pairs of the same nationality are welcome to participate in the EPGC 2013, played during the weekend. This years edition is special as the winning pair will be able to choose the international Pair Go event they would like to participate in! The choices are:
1) the 3rd SportAccord World Mind Games held in Beijing in December 2013 (all is paid, the tournament is open for amateur and professional players, there is some prize money)
2) the World Amateur Pair Go Championship held in Tokyo in November 2013 (travelling-costs: 50% paid by the organizers, 50% by EGF. Of course in Japan all is paid by the organizers as well. Only pairs consisting of two amateur players can participate!)
The runner-up pair will be able to participate in the other event, provided it fulfils condition (so if the first pair choses SportAccord event, and the second pair includes a professional player, this pair will not be able to go to the WAPGC and the next pair will be allowed to participate). As usual the top 16 countries’ pairs will earn points for their country towards qualifying to this and future IAPGC, The official opening will take place on Friday evening, at the beginning of the party (see below). For detailed schedule, registration and additional information please see
this website.
(in case a visa is required, please let us know as early as possible, so we can prepare and deliver the invitation on time)
