Можлива оплата квитків від міністерства.
Бюджет на 2024 рік хиткий (обіцяють 100 000 грн) і є надія, що до травня міністр підтвердить обіцяне та допоможе з відрядженням на чемпіонат світу. Звісно, розраховувати треба на свої кошти, але можливість купити квиток за рахунок бюджету існує.
Аукціон проводимо до кінця січня.

8. Tournament Methods
1) 8-round Swiss system.
2) All games to be played on even, with Black giving a 6½-point komi.
3) Time allowance is 60 minutes per player, followed by byo-yomi of 30 seconds x 3 times.
*Tournament clocks will be used for all games.
4) The competition will be conducted in accordance with The World Amateur Go Championship
Rules. *Any problems that arise will be settled by the referees.
5) The referees will be professional go players from the Nihon Ki-in and the Kansai Ki-in.
9. Awards
1) The winner will be given the title of ‘44th World Amateur Go Champion’ and will
receive an amateur 8-dan diploma from the Nihon Ki-in.
2) All of the 2nd to 8th place players will receive prizes with cups.

3) A player not placed in the top eight who has demonstrated fair play and fighting spirit
will be awarded the Asada Fighting Spirit Prize.
Supplementary Notes
1. Nationality
Each player must have the nationality of the country he or she represents.
2. Travel and accommodation expenses during stay in Tokyo
We shall be responsible for the following expenses for the 79 players and 4 guest officials.
- Transportations to and from Haneda or Narita international airport
- Accommodation: Six nights from 17 to 22 May 2024
- Meals: from dinner on 17 May to breakfast on 23 May 2024
*Important notes: We will take no responsibility for any extra expenses
-Players will be responsible for their travel expenses (e.g. air tickets) to get to Japan (Tokyo)
by themselves.
-Players who for reasons of their own convenience arrive earlier than 17 May and/or stay
longer than 23 May will by themselves be responsible for all extra expenses incurred.
3. Qualification
- Each player must be an amateur Go player.
- A certified Pro by a national or federal Go organization (including EGF and NAGF) will not be
eligible to this Championship.
- The former Pro (e.g., retired pro) will also not be eligible to the Championship.
- The amateur player who will be either formally or informally approved or certified as a pro
before 31st March 2024 will not be eligible to this Championship.
4. Registration
Players and guest officials are requested to return the following documents to the Tournament
Office by 1st Feburary 2024.
(i) Completed entry form (using the attached document)
(ii) Face photos (*good quality jpg colour digital photo, 5 cm x 5 cm)
(iii) Copies of passport (the page or pages clearly showing nationality)
*In case that you have multiple nationalities, please send a copy of the passport for the
country which you are representing.
5. Schedule:
17 May: Arrival at Haneda or Narita international airport, check-in hotel, registration
18 May: Special side event with the 100th Anniversary of the founding of Nihon Kiin,
Opening ceremony and reception
19-22 May: WAGC Tournament (*optional sightseeing tours in Tokyo)
22 May: Doping test, Closing and award Ceremony
23 May: Check-in hotel /end of official schedule
6. Accommodation
Hotel Tokyo Green Palace (*http://www.tokyogp.com/english/)
*Whether arriving in Japan at Narita or Haneda, players and guest officials are requested to
check in at the above official hotel designated by the Tournament Office.
7. Events
The International Go Federation
All players and guest officials are obligated to participate in all official events such as opening
and closing ceremony and the goodwill match.
8. Doping test
Top four of the prize-winners may be subject to doping tests.

9. Important points
1) Players or guest officials who commit any of the following infringements may have their
participation in the tournament cancelled.
(i) Non-arrival of entry form at the Tournament Office by the deadline.
(ii) False entries on the entry form.
(iii) Neglecting to send photos or photocopies of passport.
(iv) Failure to check in at the designated hotel on 17 May 2024.
2) If you need an official invitation and/or a guarantee from the Tournament Office to leave
your country, please check what documents are necessary at your nearest Japanese embassy,
and note this in the appropriate column on the entry form. Please note that while in
principle we will include in the official invitation the dates of arrival in and departure from
Japan that you request, we will be responsible for your expenses only for the period as
noted earlier in this paper.
3) Please refrain from wearing clothing such as short pants, sandals, jeans, T-shirts, sunglasses
or similar items at all WAGC events.
4) Any questions should be directed in English to the Tournament Office by email or Fax.

Професійні гравці, на жаль, за правилами чемпіонату брати участь не можуть.
