KOREAN GO SCHOOL DEADLINE NEARS: There's just over a month left to apply for an exciting new go study program in Korea. Applications for The King's Baduk Academy are due by December 31. Applicants must be between the ages of 10 and 25; There will be 10 fully-funded positions -- including paid travel, room and board, and tuition -- one for each country, and 50 self-paying positions. Those selected will join a class of fifty other promising young players from around the world for a 3-7-year rigorous course of study starting in March 2009. KOREAN GO SCHOOLS REACH OUT: Serious go students have some exciting learning opportunities in South Korea, home of many of the world's strongest players. The King's Baduk Academy has asked the AGA to nominate a promising candidate between the ages of ten and 25 for a 3-7-year course of study. The successful candidate will join a class of fifty other promising young players from around the world for a rigorous course of study starting in March 2009. Nominations are due by December 31; the Korean Baduk Association and King's Field Inc. will announce the selectees next January 10. Further details of the selection process will be announced shortly. Contact the AGA's VP of International Affairs, Thomas Hsiang at igf@usgo.org for more information. For a shorter, more flexible course of study, check out the International Baduk Academy (l). Зараз готуйте резюме та інші документи: сертифікати переможних виступів, довідку від УФГо про рівень, тощо.

1. A resume
- I do not need a separate resume. Attached to the application to create and send E-Mail said.

2. Certification of prize winning - What is the format?
- There is no form for the award-winning writing. If you attach a meaningful award, there are extra points.

3. A letter of guarantee - Is this required for the 18-years old?
- I do not need such a bond.

4. Certification of Baduk skills - The person in question has 5 dan rating in Ukraine, UFGO can issue a certificate for this.
- I'll admit rating in Ukraine. European Go Congress is a little more confidence in the information is approved.

5. Recommendation by Korea Baduk Association? - is it necessary?
- UFGO in question is sufficient.

Хто похвалить Кравця краще всіх?

Треба написати листа корейцям про Кравця. На жаль у мене мало інформації. 5 дан, виграв Кубок України. Що ще вигравав? В юніорах вигравав щось?

Я йому самому написав, але він не відповідає - мабуть, не перевіряє імейл.

Від корейців прийшов наступний лист з пропозицією відвідати 3-місячні курси, березень-травень. Дорога і віза за свій рахунок, 200 доларів вступний внесок, ще 100 доларів на місяць на різні ішні витрати. Навчання й харчування забезпечуються.

4) Travel(Airfare) and visa expenses are your own responsibility
